Who would have thunk that it would be almost a year of being in the pandemic? So why not bring back more recommendations! The first post can be found here.Continue reading “Netflix & Isolate 2.0”
Do you know what sucks about getting older? That people become assholes and some of those assholes become those people who think animated movies are for children and children alone. I find that often animated movies are far more thoughtful, original and emotionally engaging in an industry pumping out movie after movie without another thought.Continue reading “Ashley Ranks… Animated Movies”
Originally written on June 27th 2017 however changes were made to it now:
I have never watched a Malick film and didn’t know where to start. I’ve heard many things about his films and his directing. It always seemed like there was two extremes. One being that you would give your everything to him or you didn’t understand him, didn’t care to and/or never would. I figured The Tree Of Life was the one I had heard the most about so I figured that was a good enough place to begin.Continue reading “Love Everyone. Every Leaf. Every Ray Of Light.”
Every movie I’ve seen about a young girl has always fell into the same type of category. It’s usually perhaps an awkward girl who has witty quips at the ready and confidence to spare. What better way to kill a couple hours by watching some movies?
We all got too much time on our hands anyways now.Continue reading “Netflix And Isolate”

Some things I’m still angry about are so small, I only think of them when I’m triggered by something. Others are so big that I have spent nights awake thinking of them. The Lizzie McGuire Movie is one of the big ones.Continue reading “This Is What Anger Is Made Of…”
I had quite the time when I originally saw Evil Dead in theatres. Oh yes…here comes another story.Continue reading “Evil Dead And A Bonk On The Head”
Kiki’s Delivery Service is hands down my favourite animated film. It took me a moment to figure out why it stuck with me so much as a kid and I think I’ve finally narrowed it down.
Besides the fact that I was obsessed with magic and witches as a kid, Kiki presented herself as a character who was the most relatable to me. No matter how much I wanted it to happen, I never got magic powers or a letter to Hogwarts.
A girl can dream.Continue reading “Why Kiki More Than Delivers.”
So Pretty In Pink is my favourite Brat Pack film. Hands down.
But here’s the thing…Continue reading “Pretty In Pink And Forever In The Friendzone”
